Directions
Set Up the Smoker
- Preheat your smoker to 225°F.
Cook the Meat on the Smoker
2. Place a smoker-safe skillet directly on the grill grate. Add the ground beef, onion, bell pepper, and garlic.
3. Smoke the mixture, stirring occasionally, until the beef is fully browned and the vegetables are softened.
Add Seasoning and Sauce
4. Stir in Rave BBQ Rubs Da Burger Bomb, mixing well to coat the beef.
5. Add the tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar to the skillet. Stir to combine and season with salt and pepper.
6. Close the smoker lid and allow the mixture to smoke for 30-45 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and develops a smoky flavor.
Toast the Buns (Optional)
7. While the Sloppy Joe mixture is finishing up, butter the hamburger buns and toast them on the smoker or grill until golden brown.
Assemble the Sloppy Joes
8. Spoon the smoked Sloppy Joe mixture onto the bottom half of each bun, then top with the other half.
These fully smoked Sloppy Joes deliver deep, smoky flavor from start to finish. Enjoy!
